AO is an Austrian Singer/Songwriter whose debut album "Metamorphose" (Metamorphosis) was released in 2007 on the Japanese independent music label, Kira Kira Record. AO has since been busy performing his debut record in various clubs and live music venues throughout Tokyo. Recently, AO has been working on new songs for a second album, which is set to be released in 2011. AO writes lyrics mainly in German, and surprises his listeners with just how beautiful the language can sound, despite its "hard" image. AO also mixes German with Japanese, Portuguese or African languages in a few songs, to reflect his experiences while traveling the world. The emotional impact of his music comes from AO's distinctive melodies, powerful rhythms, and subtle arrangements. His music can suit and affect a variety of different moods in the listener.
